Caritas House is non-profit organization providing services to people with HIV/AIDS since 1994. As a member of the West Virginia Coalition for People with HIV/AIDS, Caritas House provides case management services to 25 counties in Northern West Virginia. Case management services are provided not only to clients, but also their families and significant others. The following examples list different types of case management services provided by Caritas staff.

Housing 

Caritas has provided temporary and emergency shelter in our community residence that allows individuals or families to live with dignity. This house can accommodate up to 5 people at a time, and was created for those affected by HIV/AIDS who are facing homelessness or in need of temporary housing. The residence is fully furnished with all amenities including linens. Located in downtown Morgantown within walking distance of stores, clinics, pharmacy and other services, transportation is also available by local transit authority. Arrangement for overnight lodging for medical appointments or tests are made by contacting the Housing Coordinator.

Supportive Services

Examples of supportive services provided by Caritas House include:

• linking clients to mental health professionals
• helping clients in outlying areas to access medical services
• connecting clients with social services such as food pantries and medical transportation
• making referrals for health/medical care services, medications, and nutritional needs
• linking clients to emergency shelter, transitional or permanent housing
• food, personal care, cleaning products and nutritional supplements 
• assist people in obtaining safe affordable housing
• advising clients throughout the process of relocating or being displaced
• monetary assistance for rent, mortgage, utilities, or transportation
