RAPID ORAL HIV TESTING 

Caritas House offers free, confidential HIV testing the 1st Monday of every month in our office. Rapid oral testing uses a painless swab inside the mouth to obtain a sample and does not involve any blood, needles, or pain and results are available in 20 minutes. Testing is conducted by a certified tester of the West Virgina Department of Public Health.  Testing is usually conducted between the hours of 11am-5pm.  Simply call 304-985-0021 to set up a time to come in.

2010 Testing Dates

In addition to the 1st Monday of every month, Caritas House also conducts testing in conjuntion with, or close to certian "special" days of the year.  June 27th is National HIV Testing Day, and December 1st is World AIDS Day.  On these days testing is offered in downtown Morgantown at places such as Vice Versa Club, Public Library, Churches, etc.  Locations and times of testing at these sites are advertised on our website and in the Morgantown area through flyers or radio announcements.

• HIVTEST.ORG Enter your zipcode and this site will give you a list of places where you can go for HIV or other STD testing.  The site will tell you what types of testing are offered (Oral/Blood), whether testing is free, confidential, etc.  You can also access this information by texting your zipcode to "KNOWIT" if you do not have internet access.
• West Virginia Bureau of Public Health - AIDS Program
  Lists West Virginia county health departments.  In WV, anyone can get free, confidential STD testing in all county health departments.  Parental consent is not necessary for an STD test.
